The BushFire Loch®
Our environmental and weather extremes place us under constant threat from bushfires.
The BushFire Loch® is a device for helping to reduce the risk of property damage due to fire, in particular, for reducing the risk of a fire initiating in or under the building roofline.
Statistics suggest that, in the event of a bushfire, buildings commonly initially catch fire in the roof gutters. You do not have to live in the bush, just within several kilometers. Burning embers, which are airborne as a result of the strong winds usually accompanying and fanning bushfires, referred to as an 'ember attack', land on the building roofs and become trapped in the roof gutters, whereupon they burn. Such fires are exacerbated if the gutters contain combustible debris such as leaves, twigs and the like.
A fire initiating in a roof gutter is difficult to access from ground level and is therefore difficult to extinguish. Further, once the fire spreads from the gutter to inside the building roof space it is virtually impossible to extinguish.
The BushFire Loch® allows you to create the option of a spray system for the roof and surrounds, it seals downpipes and prevents water loss. It's as simple as turning on a tap and is ideal for two storey homes where cleaning elevated gutters is made particularly difficult. The device has been designed primarily to enable a downpipe and associated building roof guttering system to be backfilled with water from a garden hose.
The BushFire Loch® has been designed primarily to help protect residential houses in the event of bushfires. However, it could be equally effective in protecting other types of buildings and structures from bushfires including industrial and commercial buildings, factories, garages, sheds, barns, carports, verandahs, patios and pergolas.
The BushFire Loch is not the be all and end all of fire prevention, simply another device to assist home owners with home protection. Further, we believe that more homes can be saved through greater education and awareness, than through the use of the BushFire Loch and all of the other fire prevention devices and services put together. If the fire becomes so intense like we have experienced in Australia, then no device, no system, nor manpower will prevent its ferocious path of destruction.

Warranty
Barloch Industries Pty Ltd warrants the original purchaser of this product only. If this unit is considered faulty within 3 years of the original date of service it will be repaired or replaced at our option free of charge, unless in our opinion it has been damaged or misused. Warranties are effective from the proof of purchase date and not from the date of any subsequent repair or replacement.
Liability is not accepted for damage due to accident, improper installation or misuse. Liability is limited to the replacement of a faulty unit.
